Beginning in 2005, the MSGA
will be issuing tee times for weekend events
differently than in the past. Rather than
calling in, teams wishing to play will be
required to mail, email or fax in their
requests for times for each third of the season.
Players may use
the form below to send in their request (you can
download it by clicking the icon at the bottom),
or they may use the form in the February
newsletter. All forms received electronically
will be acknowledged via email. For every course
the team wants to play, fill in the required
information, including the date (either Friday
or Saturday, where applicable) and time period
(list one to three acceptable times i.e.,
8-9 am,
9-10, etc.). Times will then be awarded to
groups, based on the number of events in which
teams are requesting to participate. Team are
reminded that, although only one player needs to
take responsibility for the team, each team must
have at least three players in order to compete.
Teams requesting more times
will be given higher consideration. HOWEVER,
cancellations will also be taken into
consideration, so DO NOT request a time unless
you are certain you can field a team. Teams that
cancel out of more than three events will not be
given any priority in future scheduling.
After the deadline date for
each third of the season, the MSGA will assign
the times and post them on our web site. Any
unfilled starting times will be posted on the
web site. As we did last year, we will also try
to match up teams that need players with
individual players looking for teams. If you are
a team looking for a player, it is best to let
us know as much in advance as possible so we can
try and help you fill the slot. For individual
players, we will make every attempt to either
match you up or form a new team of players
looking to participate.
Requests for dates
through June 11 are due no later than April 5
(south) and April 12 (central). Requests for
dates through September 3 are due no later than
June 7. Requests for dates through November 5
are due no later than August 23 (south) and
August 30 (central). |
